On October 15, Figma posted that it was announcing 20 new MCP partners at Config India: Amp, ClickUp, Dia, Junie by JetBrains, Linear, Meta Muse, Mistral, Notion, OpenCode, Sarvam Agents, Agentforce Vibes, Amazon Quick, Amplitude Wave, Cline, Delta, Dust, Glass, Gradial, Writer, Zed and Microsoft 365 Copilot. MCP is the protocol that lets AI agents connect to a product's context and tools.
Figma's help center says the MCP server now works faster and more reliably while using fewer tokens, can create interactive code layers on the canvas, and can read and write more of Figma. Its catalog already listed clients such as Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor and GitHub Copilot, so these are additions.
In a second post, Figma announced Code Layers, Specs and Guidelines in open beta, Code Sources in closed beta, and Payload rolling out in the coming weeks. Code Layers let teams collaborate with code on the canvas. Specs is a native home for written context that teams and agents share. Guidelines help agents follow a published design system, and Code Sources import code from GitHub or npm. Payload is an open source backend framework that Figma says scaffolds a CMS, database, APIs and auth inside Figma Make.
Figma said Config India was its largest international conference, with over 30,000 people registered in person and virtually, and it announced an MCP partnership with the Indian AI company Sarvam.
