Cognition Launches FrontierCode 2.0 Coding Benchmark Testing Pull Request Mergeability Across Underspecified Tasks (opens the post on X)

Introducing FrontierCode 2.0: our new coding benchmark that measures a model’s ability to go beyond the spec. Most coding evals measure a model’s ability to write code that meets a spec. With FrontierCode 1.0, we asked a new question: would you actually merge the PR? FrontierCode 2.0 is comprised of more diverse tasks, featuring larger scopes and higher mergeability standards. We are now asking: not only would you merge this PR, but should you? One key feature of FrontierCode 2.0 is underspecified prompts. Rather than including every engineering decision, prompts are deliberately ambiguous, giving the models room to demonstrate their judgment. The result is a benchmark that is far from saturated, with the top model scoring just 45%.

Bar chart titled FrontierCode 2.0 comparing 15 AI models by percentage score from Beam 1.0 at 2.9 percent up to GPT 6 Astra at 42.6 percent and Claude Opus 5.5 at 45.5 percent

Judgment Labs Opens General Access to Its Trace Monitoring and Continuous Improvement Platform for Long Running AI Agents (opens the post on X)

Today, @JudgmentLabs opens for general access. We believe long running agent systems will generate more exhaust data than the world can currently process. Hidden within agent traces are rich records of how to make these systems better: what users ask for, when agents stumble, and how agents interact with the external world. Judgment is the most performant monitoring and improvement layer for long-horizon agents. We’re excited to see what you build!
