Greptile raises a $50 million Series B led by Menlo Ventures at a $750 million valuation for its AI code review agents
Greptile has raised a $50M Series B led by Menlo Ventures. The round values the company at $750M. Greptile reviews and tests more than 1% of all PRs opened on GitHub every day. Thousands of engineering teams including Nvidia, Coinbase, Decagon, and Vanta use Greptile as their independent and central validation layer. Fewer than 50 people, we are a small, talent-dense team of engineers and researchers in a quiet corner of San Francisco. If you’re interested in joining us, we’d love to hear from you.

Context
Investors are betting that as AI writes more code, independent AI review and testing of that code becomes essential infrastructure for engineering teams.
This is first hand from Greptile, and its usage figures are self reported. Greptile makes AI agents that review and test pull requests, and TechCrunch reported in 2025 that Benchmark was in talks to lead its Series A at a $180 million valuation.
Deep dive
On October 19, Greptile posted that it has raised a $50 million Series B led by Menlo Ventures, valuing the company at $750 million. It said it reviews and tests more than 1 percent of all pull requests opened on GitHub every day, and that thousands of engineering teams including Nvidia, Coinbase, Decagon and Vanta use it as their independent and central validation layer. It said it has fewer than 50 people and is hiring.
Greptile's blog post says Jump Trading, Wing, Operator Collective, Benchmark, YC, Browder Capital and Initialized also took part, and that Deedy Das is joining its board.
The launch video is a black and white parody of a retro office, presenting Greptile as the world's premier code validation facility. Its subtitles say that before code ships it comes there, that experts read it line by line, that Greptile does not stop at reading the code but runs it in a simulator and tests it, and that a change can get a confidence score of three out of five. It ends with the tagline from code review to code validation.
In 2025, TechCrunch reported that Benchmark was in talks to lead a Series A valuing Greptile at $180 million, citing sources, which would make the new valuation roughly four times higher.
What to expect next
Watch whether Greptile's claim of reviewing more than 1 percent of GitHub pull requests is borne out by independent data, and how it competes with Graphite, CodeRabbit and the review features built into Codex, Claude Code and GitHub Copilot. Its shift from reviewing to running and testing code is the bet to track. Also watch hiring, since a team under 50 people will need to grow to serve thousands of customers.
