Grok Bot adds plus aliases, letting each bot send and receive email at dedicated addresses and trigger routines by alias
Grok @bot now supports plus aliases! Send and receive email using dedicated aliases, or set up routines that only trigger for mail to a specific alias!

Context
Giving agents their own sortable email addresses makes it easier to route receipts, signups and newsletters to automated workflows.
Sam Sokolin's post announces the feature, though the post does not state his role, and it spread after Elon Musk reposted it. Grok Bot began giving each bot its own email address in version 0.70.2, covered on October 13. The plus alias feature does not yet appear in the official changelog.
Deep dive
On October 14, Sam Sokolin posted that Grok Bot now supports plus aliases, letting users send and receive email using dedicated aliases or set up routines that only trigger for mail to a specific alias.
The attached graphic shows a base address at mail.grokbot.com with example aliases for newsletters, receipts, signups and travel. Plus aliases follow a common email convention in which text after a plus sign in the local part of an address still reaches the same inbox, which lets mail be sorted by the address it was sent to.
The feature builds on Grok Bot version 0.70.2, which the official changelog dates to October 11 and which gave each bot its own email address. The changelog checked on October 14 does not yet list plus aliases, so details such as limits and availability come only from the post.
Elon Musk reposted the announcement, which helped it pass about 197,000 views within hours. The post does not say which plans include the feature or whether aliases can be used for outbound mail from routines.
What to expect next
Watch for the feature to appear in the Grok Bot changelog with details on plans and limits.
Also watch how users wire aliases into routines, for example sending receipts to expense tracking or travel confirmations to calendars, and whether other agent products add similar per agent email routing as bots take on more tasks through email. Clear pricing details would help users plan routines around it.
