Thibault Sottiaux, known as Tibo, leads Codex at OpenAI. On October 4 he promised that for 28 days the team would ship either one clear improvement for Codex users or a full usage reset each day.

Early on October 22, Tibo posted the day 17 entry of his 28 day series: bet you thought we forgot, but no, it is reset day today. He added that it is a good time to remind users to get Daybreak Blue access, which he said takes only 15 minutes, because you do not want to have to do it in the middle of an incident.

The series began on October 4, when he said that for the next 28 days the team would ship each day either a clear improvement relevant to most Codex and Work users or a full reset. The previous reset came on day 15, on October 20, and day 16 brought persistent caching in Codex and 12 hour prompt caching in the API.

According to the Open the Rank tracker, Tibo replied under the post that the reset lands tomorrow before 10am PST, meaning October 23. The post does not say which plans receive the reset or explain what Daybreak Blue is, and OpenAI has not published details about it in the sources found.
